Pick UP by our company tour guide on arrival at the Kigali international airport and depending on your arrival time, you will have a city tour of Kigali’s history to the Gisozi genocide memorial site, the national library, local markets, craft shops.
Later you will have dinner and an overnight resting at Flame Tree Village safari lodge or Garr hotel.

Wake up for a cup of coffee and hit the road to Akagera national park, reaching on time for an early lunch at Akagera game Lodge. After lunch, go for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. Expect to see hippos, crocodiles and water birds. Dinner and overnight at Rusizi Tented Camp (luxury) or Akagera game Lodge (deluxe).

Early morning, you will go for game drives up to the northern part of the park to catch up with early risers before they go into hiding. You will have a chance to see lions, antelopes, giraffes, and bushbucks among others. Return to the lodge for relaxation by 11:00 am, and then lunch. After lunch, go for an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you will be rewarded with a view of the game as hippos, and crocodiles, as well as a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at Rusizi Tented Camp (luxury) and Akagera game Lodge (deluxe).

In the morning you will have breakfast and then hit the road leaving Akagera to Nyungwe National park. You will have en route stopover in Nyanza museum, and Butare museum among other areas good for photography and adventure, as well as lunch. Reach Nyungwe in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay at Nyungwe forest Lodge or Gisakura hotel.

Wake up to an early breakfast at your hotel then proceed with your guide to the Nyungwe forest headquarters for a briefing about tracking chimps. The rangers know the best spots where you can easily track the chimpanzees. As you hike through the forest, you will come across other primates like monkeys, these will excite you as you get closer to the chimpanzees. After a wonderful time with the chimpanzees, you return for lunch and rest. Dinner and overnight at your hotel on Day 1.

In the morning go for the breathtaking forest canopy walk; in the afternoon have a community tour of the local surrounding communities. Dinner and overnight stay.

Early morning, enjoy a spectacular drive to Volcanoes national park with stopovers for photography and lunch. Reach Volcanoes national park in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at Mountain gorilla view lodge or Muhabura hotel.

Wake up to an early breakfast at your hotel then proceed with our guide to the Volcanoes park headquarters as early as 7:30 am. After a short guide-briefing as regards your expected gorilla tracking, you will enter the rain forest in search of the mountain gorillas. Once you meet the gentle giants, you are allowed to spend a maximum of one hour with the gorillas and then return to your lodge. In the afternoon, you may go for nature walks or cultural walks to the Ib’iwachu Cultural village. Later, you will return for dinner and an overnight stay.

On this day, you will either go for golden monkey tracking or go for the Dian Fossey hike at Karisoke research center, where Dian, an American anthropologist spent years researching and conserving the gorillas before she was killed and buried next to Digit, a silverback gorilla. On return, transfer to Lake Kivu. Relax at the beach, dinner and overnight at _Lake Kivu Serena hotel_Stipp Hotel_Paradise Malahide.

In the morning, you will enjoy a boat cruise up to the coffee island and have a view of the surrounding islands. On return, set off to Kigali, where you will reach early to have the necessary shopping. You will then check into your hotel or be dropped to the airport for your departure flight.
