Birding Tour of Burundi midrange 4 Day Tour – Lakes of Kirundo and Kibira Forest which has 200 bird species i.e the great blue turaco, mountain buzzard, white-spotted flufftail, grey parrot, bar-tailed trogon and the black-and-white-casqued hornbill. Various primate species can also be spotted around the park and these include; chimpanzees and black and white colobus monkeys.
Arrive early in Bujumbura and check in the hotel; Safari Gate Hotel. Have a city tour at noon to Bunyezi Muslim center, the snake and culture Museum and Belvedere climb which offers a beautiful scenic view of Bujumbura and Lake Tanganyika. Overnight at Safari Gate Hotel.
After an early breakfast, you will drive 200 kilometers from Bujumbura towards the scenic Kirundo region, an area full of birdlife. Kirundo is dotted with numerous lakes such as Kacamirinda and Kanzigiri. You may take a canoe to explore Cohoha, the ‘bird lake,’ so named for its ornithological reserve.
On the road leading to Birds Lakes, we will stop not far from Bugarama to see splendid tea plantations at Teza. Overnight at Top Hill Residence.
Day three starts early with a nature walk in Kibira Forest, home to animals such as black and white Colubus monkeys, baboons and chimpanzees. Enjoy the picturesque scenery of the green hills of Burundi and enjoy the view of the CongoNile Ridge. If time allows, you may have a chance to visit the pygmy people of Busekera or take the tour of the Teza tea factory.
After lunch drive to Bujumbura. Overnight at Hotel Le Chandelier or similar Day
After Breakfast drive to airport for departure. End of Safari

Your safari trip will take place in several locations in Uganda including Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Forest National Park.
Food
We do not cover meals because we do not know what you will want to eat as there is plenty to eat here.
